Video Filter Component
This legacy web component needed a design and functionality refresh. The original design was busy and had too much cognitive load for the user. Below you can see my initial sketches and thought process to improve the design.
Video Filter Component Refreshed Design
The improved design will decrease the busy multiple filters and reorganize the interior content so users will have an easier time reading. Tucking the filters into a dropdown increased interaction, and reducing the amount of icons and background distractions makes the component clearer. This also improved the mobile design and improved loading speed.
